LÜCKENSPRUNG

„Lückensprung“ is a text consisting of pieces, collected with ease and woven together into a poetic journey through time. Fluctuating between dreamlike landscapes and classical storytelling it offers an intimate reflection about how we are forming our lives out of objects, memories, choices and hope, while the gaps in between are telling a story of their own.

Following its publication in wegen:art magazine and a reading at the release event, the project was reimagined as an audio play in December 2024. In collaboration with Paula Schieferecke, a sound composition was crafted, drawing inspiration from contemporary music and improvisation, seamlessly translating the live-performance experience into an auditory form. Fragmented sounds and textures echo the text's linguistic imagery and thematic content, as well as its unique tonal nuances. A blend of various cello techniques and melodic motifs weaves together a rich composition of both improvised and structured sonic elements.

“Wir schauen gemeinsam hinab auf den Fluss, er trägt das grüne Haar in Wellen und in ihm hunderte kleiner weißer Blüten. Der Fluss blüht. Noch nie haben wir so etwas gesehen, da sind wir uns einig und ich bekomme Sehnsucht nach all den Gewässern. Gluckernde Bäche und rauschende Tiefen, hier und in all den Ländern der Ferne, entspringen sie sprudelnd aus dunklen Spalten.
