The Somatic Performance Lab took place in the spring of 2023 at Kulturforum Furth for the second time, offering a unique space for artistic research. Over five days, artists from the fields of performing and visual arts engaged with the theme of "form and freedom." Experts in Body-Mind-Centering, contemporary dance, dream imagination, and atmospheric composition contributed their specialized knowledge to the process. The collaboration culminated in a final public performance, shaped by this rich dialogue. The distinctive location—the large columned hall of the Kulturforum Furth—provided a symbolic space, both limited and infinite, where the artistic process became visible and shareable. It also served as a free space for exchange and joyful interaction between artists and guests. The Lab welcomed performers, visual artists, and dancers who were interested in an intensive, professional exploration of the body in movement as an instrument.
